Controller
Bootmaker Kereskedelmi és Szolgáltató Kft. (“Bootmaker”, “we”) is the controller for personal data processed through this website. Short name: Bootmaker Kft.
Registered seat: 5900 Orosháza, Arany J. utca 4/A, Hungary. Postal address: 2089 Telki, Gábor Áron utca 17, Hungary. E-mail: info@bootmaker.net. Company registration number: 04-09-006054. The same details are on the imprint.
We have not appointed a data protection officer. Send privacy requests to the e-mail address above.
What this notice covers
This is an informational company website. There are no user accounts and no newsletter. The contact form is the only place you are asked to send personal data.
The notice is written for the EU General Data Protection Regulation and for Act CXII of 2011 on the right to informational self-determination and freedom of information.
Data you send in the form
If you use the form, we process your name, e-mail address, company name if you provide one, the content of your message, the language and the page you sent it from (Bootmaker, Nethorizon or IN3 Technology), and the fact that you confirmed you had read this notice, together with the time of sending.
Please do not put special-category data, such as health information, in the message. We do not ask for it.
Data used to keep the form reliable
We keep the IP address of a submission in the server’s memory for up to 15 minutes, so that one network cannot flood the mailbox. That address is not copied into the e-mail we receive.
The form has a hidden field that people are not asked to fill in. If the field contains anything, we discard the submission and do not store the contents.
When Cloudflare Turnstile is switched on for a deployment, we send Turnstile’s response to Cloudflare to check that a person sent the form. If the Turnstile keys are not set, this check is skipped.
Purposes and legal bases
If your enquiry is about a service Bootmaker Kft. may provide, or about a quote, we process the form data to take steps at your request before a contract. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.
For any other general enquiry, we process the form data to read and answer a professional message. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding (Article 6(1)(f)). You may object to that processing.
Rate limiting, the hidden field and Turnstile, when Turnstile is on, rest on our legitimate interest in keeping the mailbox and the server usable (Article 6(1)(f)).
The website does not keep a visitor access log. If logging is switched on for a security incident, that is described under How long we keep it.
If a contract or invoice follows, we keep the related accounting records where the law requires it, including the Hungarian accounting rules (Article 6(1)(c)).
We do not use this data for advertising, and we do not make automated decisions that produce legal effects.
Recipients
A message sent from a Nethorizon page is e-mailed to info@nethorizon.eu. A message sent from an IN3 Technology page is e-mailed to info@in3.technology. A message sent from any other page is e-mailed to info@bootmaker.net. Delivery uses Bootmaker’s own SMTP relay (RelayHorizon). The From address is inquiry@bootmaker.net. The relay is not an outside provider. People at Bootmaker who handle enquiries can read the message.
If Turnstile is switched on, Cloudflare, Inc. processes the challenge. That can include an IP address. Cloudflare’s notice is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
The website runs on a virtual server operated by Bootmaker Kft. The server is provided as infrastructure (IaaS) by HostingBazis Betéti Társaság (HostingBazis Bt., 4642 Tornyospálca, Mándoki utca 40, Hungary, kapcsolat@hostingbazis.hu). Bootmaker manages the server and the software on it. HostingBazis Bt. acts as a processor that provides only storage and network capacity. It does not use the data for its own purposes and has no access to it in normal operation.
We do not sell personal data.
Transfers outside the EEA
The website runs on Bootmaker’s own server in Hungary, on HostingBazis Bt. infrastructure. Messages stay on Bootmaker’s own SMTP relay (RelayHorizon). If Turnstile is switched on, Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) may process data, including an IP address. That transfer relies on Cloudflare’s certification under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or on standard contractual clauses, together with Cloudflare’s data processing addendum. Cloudflare’s notice is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry for as long as the conversation needs. If no contract follows, we aim to delete it, or remove the personal details, within 24 months of the last reply.
If a contract or invoice follows, we keep the related accounting records for the statutory period. Hungarian accounting law requires accounting records to be kept for at least eight years.
Correspondence that is not an accounting record may be kept for the general civil-law limitation period (section 6:22 of the Hungarian Civil Code, generally five years) on the basis of our legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
IP addresses used for rate limiting stay in memory only and drop out within 15 minutes. We do not store Turnstile tokens after the check.
Server logs: the website keeps no visitor access log and does not record requests, including IP addresses. The server's technical logs (for example start-up and error messages) contain no visitor data. If we temporarily switch on logging to investigate a security incident, we keep that log for up to 30 days, based on our legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
Your rights
You can ask us to act on the rights below, where they apply. Write to info@bootmaker.net. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you. Where we rely on legitimate interest, you may object.
- Access to the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification of inaccurate data
- Erasure, where no exception applies
- Restriction of processing
- A portable copy of data you provided, where processing is based on a contract and is carried out by automated means
- Objection, where we rely on legitimate interest
Complaints
You can lodge a complaint with the Hungarian supervisory authority: Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH), Falk Miksa utca 9–11., H-1055 Budapest, Hungary, ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu, naih.hu.
You may also complain to the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live or work.
Cookies and local storage
This site uses no analytics or advertising cookies. It uses the following, each strictly necessary for a feature you request, so we do not ask for consent:
- bootmaker-lang (first-party cookie): remembers the language you chose so that short addresses such as /nethorizon open in it. We set it when you switch language. It lasts 6 months.
- bootmaker-theme (local storage): your light or dark theme choice. It stays in your browser until you clear it.
- cf.turnstile.u (local storage on challenges.cloudflare.com): only on pages with the form, when Turnstile is on. Cloudflare needs it for the bot check.
Security, and changes to this notice
In production the form is submitted over HTTPS. We check every submission on the server. No way of sending data is perfectly secure.
If we change this notice, we update the date at the top. The text on this page is the current version.
